Kirpal founded Island Law in 2009. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts in 1986 and spent six years managing businesses before reading law at the University of Manchester, where he graduated with First Class Honours in 1995. His practice covers criminal, commercial and civil litigation, from negligence and contract claims and landlord and tenant disputes to motor insurance and serious personal injury claims, family matters and debt recovery, and he has assisted insurance companies in reducing their exposure and in recovery (subrogation) actions.

Anthony is a litigator with more than 27 years of practice, focused on insurance claims and disputes: personal and work injury, personal accident policy claims, and general insurance claims including public liability, D&O policies, contractors’ all-risks policies, bonds and guarantees. He also handles civil and commercial cases, including shareholder disputes, employment issues, landlord and tenant disputes, matrimonial matters and debt recovery and enforcement for individuals, companies and financial institutions.
